Zoho Integrates AI Coding Assistants into Cloud Development Platform

Chennai-headquartered software-as-a-service company Zoho launched its updated cloud development platform on Wednesday, incorporating artificial intelligence coding assistants to increase its footprint in the cloud development market.
The updated platform has added features designed to integrate directly with external AI coding tools, including Anthropic’s Claude and Cursor. These AI assistants allow users to convert everyday natural language into software code, representing a growing application of generative AI technology in software engineering.
Alongside third-party coding assistant integrations, Zoho's platform comes equipped with dedicated AI workspace integrations, autonomous AI agents, and automated workflows. The company is positioning the system to serve a diverse group of users, spanning enterprise IT departments, custom software development firms, independent entrepreneurs, and freelance developers.
Anand Nergunam, global vice president of revenue growth at Zoho, stated that the company is actively collaborating with technology partners and enterprise clients across the globe. He noted that the solution is designed to support the broader international developer community, identifying India as a core market for Zoho's Catalyst platform.
According to Nergunam, while existing Zoho customers provide a natural user base for the offering, the platform is structured to operate seamlessly with external tools and third-party developer ecosystems. Advanced AI coding assistants have significantly altered the pace at which new software applications are created and deployed.
