Saveetha University Hosts ICOI ASEAN Congress 2026 with Over 700 Delegates

The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) ASEAN Congress 2026 was officially inaugurated at Saveetha University in Chennai. The gathering stands as one of the largest international scientific meetings dedicated to implant dentistry, drawing over 700 delegates from across 18 countries for three days of proceedings.
Organisers announced that the official theme for this year's congress is "Crafting the Future: Human Artistry in a Digital Age." Addressing the delegates, Thiyaneswaran Nesappan, the scientific chairman of the congress, emphasized the essential need to merge rapid technological advancements with sound clinical judgement and core human values to shape the future direction of dental implantology.
As part of the academic and professional programming, 500 dental professionals will be honoured with ICOI fellowship, mastership, and diplomate credentials. The comprehensive schedule includes lectures, panel discussions, and scientific sessions led by 20 internationally renowned speakers.
Deepak Nallaswamy, pro-chancellor of Saveetha University, attended the event as the guest of honour. Key leadership figures representing the ICOI were also present at the venue, including executive director Betty Palti, president Rick Ferguson, and Sunil Kumar Nettemu, who serves as director and membership chairman for India and ASEAN nations.
