One Killed, Two Injured in Bike Crash on Tambaram-Maduravoyal Bypass Road

The fatal accident occurred on the busy Tambaram–Maduravoyal Bypass Road during the early hours of Monday. According to the police, the three young men were riding on a single motorcycle when the vehicle crashed into a road median at Odam Nagar near Vanagaram. The police stated that the crash was a result of speeding and drunk driving, and noted that none of the three individuals were wearing helmets.
The victim who lost his life in the crash has been identified as 23-year-old Nithish Kumar. The other two individuals on the motorcycle, who sustained injuries, have been identified as 21-year-old Lalith Kumar and 24-year-old Sanjay. All three of the youths are natives of Kancheepuram and had been residing in Mogappair, where they ran a roadside eatery.
The police investigation revealed that Lalith Kumar was riding the motorcycle towards Porur when the accident occurred. As the motorcycle reached Odam Nagar near Vanagaram, Lalith Kumar lost control of the vehicle, causing it to hit the road median. The impact of the collision was severe enough to throw all three riders off the motorcycle, and Nithish Kumar died on the spot.
Following the incident, personnel from the Maduravoyal traffic investigation wing rushed to the scene after being informed of the crash. The officers recovered the body of Nithish Kumar and sent it for a postmortem examination.
Meanwhile, the two injured survivors, Lalith Kumar and Sanjay, were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Maduravoyal traffic investigation wing has registered a case and is currently investigating the incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
