Minister Vijayalakshmi Praises CM Joseph Vijay in Tamil Nadu Assembly

Speaking in the Tamil Nadu Assembly in Chennai, Minister for Milk and Dairy Development C Vijayalakshmi stated that people across northern states and neighbouring regions are yearning for a leader like Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay. She highlighted that his achievements are being watched closely not only in neighbouring states but across all the northern states.

Vijayalakshmi praised the Chief Minister, stating that he has created a keen interest in politics among the youth of Tamil Nadu and has brought widespread awareness about politics to them.

The minister pointed to the television viewership of legislative proceedings as direct proof of this growing awareness among the youth. Speaking on the floor of the Assembly, she stated that crores of people regularly watch the television broadcast of Chief Minister Vijay's address in the House.

Drawing a comparison to regional cinema, Vijayalakshmi noted that public interest in the Chief Minister has expanded across language boundaries. She said: "In my life, I have only seen people enjoying films dubbed from other languages. But even CM Vijay's Assembly addresses and public speeches are dubbed in other languages and seen and enjoyed by people speaking other languages, living in other states."

Emphasising the Chief Minister's reach beyond Tamil Nadu, she further told the House: "Your achievements are keenly watched not only in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Keralam, but all the northern states. They are longing, wondering if they will not get a chief minister like Thalapathy Vijay."

The minister asserted that the massive support the Chief Minister enjoys among the youth has had a strong impact on political opponents. She claimed it is a fact that in view of the huge support the CM enjoys among the youth, several political leaders have been pushed to a corner, prompting them to take "political sanyas."
