IIT Madras Pravartak and SWAYAM Plus Launch Multi-Cloud Security Course

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation and SWAYAM Plus, an initiative under the Union Ministry of Education, have launched a multi-cloud foundation with security programme to train students and professionals at the IIT-M campus.
The newly launched course has been designed to equip participants with hands-on, practical expertise across major industry cloud computing platforms. The curriculum specifically provides training in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), alongside specialized instructional modules focused directly on cloud security.
Training will be delivered primarily through live online sessions, paired with an immersive on-site learning experience hosted at the IIT Madras campus. The coursework combines conceptual study with practical applications, allowing learners to understand how standard cloud concepts operate across different cloud ecosystems.
Classes for the inaugural batch are scheduled to begin on September 10, with the deadline for submitting applications fixed for September 9. The programme is open to university students, recent graduates, working professionals, and aspiring technology workers. Organisers confirmed that the top 5 per cent of performers in the course will receive dedicated placement support.
Highlighting the demand for specialized cloud security training, IIT Madras Director Prof. V. Kamakoti noted that commercial enterprises increasingly require skilled personnel who understand both how to build applications in cloud environments and how to secure them effectively.
