Elgi Equipments Targets Rs 6615 Crore Revenue By FY31 In New Strategic Plan

Coimbatore-based industrial air compressor manufacturer Elgi Equipments has unveiled a new five-year strategic business plan targeting a consolidated revenue of Rs 6,615 crore by FY31. Announced in the company's latest annual report following its FY26 results, the roadmap sets an ambitious growth trajectory for the global manufacturer.
The newly set revenue target of Rs 6,615 crore marks a significant increase from the Rs 3,951 crore consolidated revenue recorded by the company in FY26. To reach this goal, Elgi Equipments is aiming for an annual growth rate of approximately 11% over the next five years. This projected growth rate is more than three times the expected expansion rate of the global air compressor market.
In addition to the revenue targets, the strategic roadmap outlines specific financial efficiency goals. The Coimbatore-based manufacturer aims to increase its EBITDA margin to 18% by FY31. Furthermore, the company plan seeks to sustain a return on capital employed (RoCE) of 35% by the end of the five-year period.
These targets come after a period of strong financial execution for the company despite facing global headwinds. During the FY26 fiscal year, Elgi Equipments saw its consolidated revenue rise by 13%. This growth was supported by stronger performances across its key geographic markets, the expansion of its distribution network, and an increasing demand for energy-efficient compressed-air solutions.
The company's consolidated net profit also experienced a substantial increase during FY26, rising 23% to reach Rs 430 crore. Currently, Elgi Equipments maintains a relatively balanced revenue distribution, with the split between its Indian and international markets standing at 51:49. Within its overseas operations, the United States accounts for the largest share of business.
Elgi Equipments, which describes itself as the world’s sixth-largest industrial air compressor manufacturer, stated that it has built the necessary operational muscle to continue expanding both its revenue and global market share. Having already grown at an annual rate of around 11% in recent years, the company expressed confidence that maintaining a similar pace over the next five years is highly achievable.
