CBSE Portal Glitches Prevent Chennai Parents From Applying For Exam Revaluation

With hardly a day left to apply for revaluation, parents of Class XII students in Chennai continued to face severe difficulties with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) online portal on Sunday. The technical glitches have left many families struggling to successfully submit their applications for the revaluation of exam papers.
On Sunday, users attempting to access the portal reported that the website was freezing and reloading endlessly. These issues are part of a series of technical woes that have plagued the CBSE online platform since it was launched on May 19. Over the past two weeks, the portal has faced severe traffic overload and payment issues, preventing smooth transactions.
In an effort to resolve the ongoing portal failures, the CBSE roped in technical experts from IIT Madras to probe the issues and find a solution.
The persistent technical glitches have already disrupted the original schedule for the post-exam process. Initially, the deadline for students to apply for scanned copies of their answer sheets was set for May 22, and the deadline for revaluation applications was scheduled for May 29. Because of the website issues, the CBSE had to push these deadlines to May 25 and June 1 respectively.
According to the CBSE regional office, the current problems are related to high website traffic. Regional officials maintained that despite the slow speeds and errors, several students have been able to successfully apply through the portal.
However, school administrators believe that more time will be required to accommodate the students who are still facing errors. A school head stated that the deadline is likely to be extended by another day to help those who have been unable to submit their revaluation applications.
