CBSE Launches Class 12 Revaluation Portal in Chennai After Missing Deadline

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially launched its online revaluation and issues-verification portal for Class 12 students in Chennai. The portal went live on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, following a delay in which the board missed its original deadline.

Initially, the CBSE had set a deadline of June 1 to have the verification and revaluation portal fully operational. After failing to meet this target, the board opened the online platform the following day.

Class 12 students who wish to raise concerns about their marks can now use the portal. It allows them to apply for the verification of specific issues observed in their scanned answer sheets. Additionally, the platform enables students to submit requests for the revaluation of their papers.

The CBSE has established a strict timeline for this process. Students will only have a few days to submit their applications, as the portal is scheduled to close on June 6 at midnight.

To access the system, students must complete a security login process. The board has mandated that applicants input their Aadhaar number to log in to the official portal.

According to the CBSE, the Aadhaar verification step was introduced as a protective measure to ensure security. For students who do not currently possess an Aadhaar card, the board has provided an alternative option. These students can instead use the Aadhaar details of a parent, relative, or guardian to log in and complete their applications.
