Aneeth Arora Showcases Pero Home Collection at The Folly at Amethyst

Fashion brand Péro is showcasing its dedicated home line, Péro home, at The Folly at Amethyst in Chennai from September 3 to 6. Created by designer and brand founder Aneeth Arora, the four-day exhibition brings together a wide range of interior decor and soft furnishings crafted from archival textiles.

The showcase features items such as cushion covers, curtains, carpets, quilts, blankets, table runners, and napkins. The pieces incorporate signature elements of the brand's aesthetic, including floral applique in pastel shades, red and yellow checks, bright threadwork, hand-drawn illustrations, and vintage buttons.

According to Aneeth, the development of the Péro home line began in 2020 as a natural extension of the fashion label, which was launched in 2009. To construct the home collection, the designer dipped into the brand's archives across nearly 20 seasons, utilising materials such as Chanderi and Maheshwari cottons, linens, mashru stripes, jamdani brocades, and gamcha checks.

Aneeth noted that working with archival fabrics allowed seamless integration of textiles that were originally created within cohesive seasonal colour palettes. Visitors in Chennai will see pieces spanning at least five different seasons, offering both subtle pastel palettes and bold, colourful arrangements.

Among the various techniques featured, the pieces adorned with kantha embroidery hold special significance for the designer. Thousands of kantha stitches are applied across the archival fabrics, a meticulous hand-embroidery process that requires extended time to complete.

The collection also carries forward the signature heart motif that has appeared across Péro's garments over the last 17 years. Aneeth explained that the diverse colour range is designed to suit different interior aesthetics, ranging from minimalist spaces using whites and beiges to maximalist settings featuring flamboyant, multi-coloured pieces.

The Péro home exhibition is open to visitors at The Folly, Amethyst, from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm daily through September 6. Prices for items in the collection start upwards of ₹15,000.
