Ajith Praises CM Vijay for Announcing Olympic City and Motorsports Hub in Chennai

Actor Ajith Kumar has welcomed the Tamil Nadu government's proposal to establish a motorsports city and a world-class Olympic City in Chennai, commending the administration for prioritising sports infrastructure.
Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay announced in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday that the state government will build the Tamil Nadu Olympic City in Chennai. The project will be executed by the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority to bolster athletic facilities across the state.
According to the announcement, the proposed Olympic City will feature international-standard sports arenas along with state-of-the-art sporting equipment. The facility will also house a dedicated High-Performance Training Centre, as well as specialised centres for Sports Science and Sports Medicine.
Ajith, who is actively competing in motorsports, released a statement expressing his gratitude to the Chief Minister for focusing on sporting opportunities and infrastructure. He noted that the initiative would identify young talent and provide essential support for upcoming athletes.
"I thank the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the Tamil Nadu State Government for encouraging youngsters in sports, identifying their talent, and providing opportunities through these initiatives, which give much-needed attention to infrastructure development," Ajith said.
Drawing a comparison to space exploration history, the actor added: "Currently being involved in motorsports, I would like to rephrase a quote by astronaut Neil Armstrong: 'One small step by the Tamil Nadu government, one giant leap for motorsports in India!' Wishing the Honourable Chief Minister Thiru C. Joseph Vijay Avl the very best in all his endeavors. May all the new sports endeavors by the Tamil Nadu Government triumph."
