Zoho Launches AI-Powered Education Software for Schools and Colleges

Chennai-based technology firm Zoho has stepped up its focus on the education technology sector by introducing revamped learning management systems that feature new artificial intelligence capabilities. The software platform is currently launching in India, with a broader global rollout scheduled to follow in the coming months.
The updated software applications target domestic and foreign educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities. Speaking to TOI, Dev Anand Ramasamy, the vice-president of product management at Zoho, detailed the company's strategy of providing enterprise software to various academic institutions across India.
According to Ramasamy, the newly upgraded platform will help deliver more visual, interactive, and personalized learning experiences to improve the overall student experience. A key element of this update is Zoho's use of artificial intelligence to execute a flipped classroom model on a massive scale. The AI technology automatically generates preparation materials, ensuring that students learn the basic concepts of their subjects before their scheduled lectures even begin.
This initiative is described as an ambitious bid to modernize an overwhelmed education system. To support this goal, Zoho is introducing an academically restricted and heavily supervised AI tutor to guide students through their coursework.
In addition to the AI-powered features, the company offers a unified platform designed to manage entire learning journeys. This comprehensive system includes student engagement tools and student lifecycle management services for institutions.
The platform's rollout will focus first on the Indian market. Following this initial domestic launch, Zoho plans to release the software across global markets in the coming months, with specific customizations tailored to different international regions.
