The Tamil sci-fi romance film "LIK: Love Insurance Kompany," directed by Vignesh Shivan and starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty, released on April 3, 2026, bringing a futuristic, tech-driven depiction of Chennai to the big screen. Set in the year 2040, the film explores whether modern technology can successfully map human emotions and love.
The plot revolves around Suriyan, played by SJ Suryah, who is the creator of a love compatibility application called LIK. While Suriyan believes that his application can accurately determine compatibility, his ideas are challenged by Vibe Vassey, played by Pradeep Ranganathan. Vassey, who is the voice of the application and the son of a naturalist played by Seeman, faces a dilemma when the algorithm declares him incompatible with Dheema, played by Krithi Shetty.
