Veteran Tamil Filmmaker K Bhagyaraj Passes Away In Chennai, To Receive State Honors

Veteran Tamil filmmaker, director, and actor K. Bhagyaraj passed away on Saturday morning at a hospital in Chennai. Following the news of his demise, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay expressed his deep condolences and officially announced that full state honors will be accorded for the veteran artist's final rites.

Chief Minister Vijay described the passing of the veteran filmmaker as an irreparable loss to Tamil cinema. In a tribute message shared publicly on his X account, the Chief Minister stated that the death of K. Bhagyaraj had caused him profound shock and deep sorrow. He remembered Bhagyaraj as an eminent director, actor, screenwriter, dialogue writer, and music composer who left an indelible mark on Tamil cinema through his multifaceted talents.

The Chief Minister noted that Bhagyaraj had carved an everlasting place in the hearts of the Tamil people.
