VCK Submits Tamil Nationalism Conference Resolutions to CM Vijay in Chennai

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) president Thol Thirumavalavan on Tuesday met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay in Chennai to submit resolutions passed at the Tamil Nationalism Conference, seeking his support in demanding greater state autonomy from the Union government.
Speaking about the meeting, Thirumavalavan said his party urged the Chief Minister to officially champion the demand for state autonomy on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government.
Thirumavalavan stated that the party requested the Chief Minister to extend his support for state autonomy rights. He noted that the Chief Minister must insist that the Union government grant these rights on behalf of the state.
In addition to the resolutions, the VCK leader addressed political cooperation, confirming that his party would stand with the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government. He noted that he had participated in a meeting convened by the Chief Minister to discuss forming a new political alliance.
Thirumavalavan indicated that formal discussions regarding the proposed alliance would proceed following the conclusion of the ongoing Legislative Assembly session.
