Vanni Arasu Thanks Udhayanidhi Stalin; LoP Names Thirumavalavan His Political Mentor

Chennai: Social Justice minister Vanni Arasu on Friday thanked Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin for campaigning on his behalf ahead of the assembly election held this year. In response to the remarks, Udhayanidhi stated that VCK chief Thirumavalavan was his political mentor.
Speaking about the election drive, Vanni Arasu recalled that Udhayanidhi had stressed the significance of his constituency during the campaign trail. He noted that the LoP had stated his victory was more important than his own.
Vanni Arasu extended his thanks to every DMK member responsible for his victory, though he remarked that none of the DMK leaders had bothered to thank VCK leader Thirumavalavan.
Responding to the statement, Udhayanidhi clarified the nature of the partnership between the two parties, asserting that it was never a mere electoral alliance with Thirumavalavan, but an ideological one. Udhayanidhi added that he has publicly declared multiple times that he accepts Thirumavalavan as his political mentor and maintains immense gratitude for him.
Addressing the broader goals of his party, Vanni Arasu stated that the VCK's primary objective is to achieve social justice and equality, which served as the rationale behind joining the cabinet. Reflecting on his journey, the minister added that he came from the ashes of torched huts burned in communal clashes.
