Usha International to Set Up Offices in Dubai and Nepal for GCC Expansion

FMCG manufacturer Usha International is expanding its overseas presence by establishing new offices in Dubai and Nepal to strengthen its distribution network across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, Middle East, and Africa.

The company, which entered the UAE market approximately two decades ago, already maintains a footprint in neighbouring South Asian countries including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

According to Anil Dua, Chief Operating Officer of Usha International, the new office in Dubai will function as a base for distributing products further into the region. The company currently relies on redistributors handling specific countries and is exploring whether to enter those markets directly through its export team.

Dubai currently accounts for 4% to 5% of Usha International's total exports. The exported product portfolio includes fans, sewing machines, and auto parts such as fuel-injection components. The company exports approximately four lakh fans to Dubai annually.

Dua stated that Usha International will continue to operate as a B2B business in Dubai. Commenting on the impact of the West Asia crisis on the GCC market, Dua noted that while sales have come down, demand has gone up because existing inventory has been sold off.
