Udhayanidhi Stalin Says DMK Will Remain A Protective Fortress For Minorities

DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sunday declared that the ruling party will always serve as a protective fortress for minority communities and Muslims. Speaking at a wedding ceremony in the Thiruverkadu neighbourhood of Chennai, he reassured the gathered minority communities of the DMK's continued support and loyalty during what he described as a challenging political climate.

Udhayanidhi Stalin was speaking at the wedding of the granddaughter of DMK Headquarters Secretary 'Thuraimugam' Kaja. He explained to the attendees that he was attending the wedding on behalf of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK Chief M K Stalin, who was originally scheduled to preside over the family function but could not attend.

During his address, Udhayanidhi Stalin emphasized that no amount of political propaganda or malicious political campaigns could weaken the long-standing bond between the DMK and minority communities. He asserted that the party's commitment to these groups remains absolute despite any external political pressures.

Taking an indirect dig at political opportunists, Udhayanidhi Stalin remarked that "some people left us as soon as a sofa arrived." He contrasted those individuals with the party's loyal workers and the minority communities, both of whom he praised for consistently remaining steadfast in their loyalty to the DMK.

"No matter who tries to separate us or what slanders are spread, the DMK will always remain a protective fortress for minorities and Islamic people," Udhayanidhi Stalin stated during the event.

Addressing the current political climate, he expressed confidence in the party's leadership. "In these times of political disaster, DMK chief M K Stalin will stand by you, protect Tamil Nadu, and redeem the nation," he said.

The public reassurance by the DMK leader aims to strengthen the party's political alliance with these groups and secure their trust during a challenging political climate.
