TVS Motor Appoints Peyman Kargar as Director and CEO From January 2027

Chennai-based two and three-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company has appointed Peyman Kargar as its director and chief executive officer, with the appointment taking effect on January 27, 2027.

Kargar, who currently serves as the company's president of international business, will take over leadership from the incumbent CEO, K N Radhakrishnan (KNR). Radhakrishnan will remain in the CEO role until January 27, 2027, after which he will transition to serve as a non-executive director until TVS Motor's ensuing annual general meeting in July 2027.

Radhakrishnan began his journey with the group in 1986, joining Sundaram Clayton as a management trainee. He rose through the ranks to lead business planning and Total Quality Management (TQM), steering the firm to become the first Indian company to win the Deming Prize. He moved to TVS Motor as executive vice-president in 2004, became president in 2008, and was appointed director and CEO in October 2018.

His successor, Kargar, holds more than 30 years of experience in the global automotive sector. Before joining TVS Motor, Kargar served as global chairman and president of Nissan's luxury brand, Infiniti.

Kargar's career also includes senior leadership roles at both Nissan and Renault. He previously headed Nissan's operations across Africa, the Middle East, and India, led the Datsun brand, and oversaw sales and marketing operations for Renault across multiple countries.
