TVS Motor Appoints Peyman Kargar as CEO Effective January 2027

Chennai-based two and three-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company has appointed Peyman Kargar as its Director and Chief Executive Officer, with the appointment taking effect from January 27, 2027.
Kargar, who currently serves as the company's President of International Business, will succeed K N Radhakrishnan. Radhakrishnan will continue to lead the company as CEO until January 27, 2027, after which he will transition to the role of non-executive director until the company’s annual general meeting in July 2027.
Radhakrishnan has had a long career within the group, having joined Sundaram Clayton as a management trainee in 1986. He subsequently rose through the ranks to lead Business Planning and Total Quality Management (TQM), playing a key role in making the firm the first Indian company to receive the Deming Prize. In 2004, he moved to TVS Motor as Executive Vice-President, was appointed President in 2008, and was later elevated to Director and CEO in October 2018.
His incoming successor, Kargar, brings more than three decades of global automotive industry experience to the leadership post. Prior to his tenure at TVS Motor, Kargar served as the Global Chairman and President of Nissan’s luxury brand, Infiniti.
During his career, Kargar also held several senior executive roles across Nissan and Renault. His assignments included overseeing Nissan's operations across Africa, the Middle East, and India, managing the Datsun brand, and directing sales and marketing functions for Renault in multiple international markets.
