TVS Cheema Scholarship Foundation opens interest-free loan applications

The TVS Cheema Scholarship Foundation (TVSCSF) has officially invited applications for its interest-free educational loan scheme targeting students in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The financial assistance program is designed for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year, with the final deadline for submitting applications set for August 31, 2026.

The scheme aims to provide financial support to students from low-to-middle-income families who are pursuing engineering, nursing, and diploma courses. By offering interest-free loans, the foundation seeks to ease the financial burden of higher education on families within these states.

Specific eligibility criteria have been established for the different streams of study. For engineering applicants, students must have secured a minimum of 60 percent marks in either their Class X or Class XII examinations. Additionally, the annual income of the applicant's family must not exceed ₹8 lakh.

For students who are enrolling in diploma and nursing courses, the academic requirement remains a minimum of 60 percent marks. However, the family income threshold is lower, with eligible applicants needing to belong to families with an annual income of up to ₹5 lakh.

The foundation has clarified certain exclusions under this loan scheme. Students who have secured admission under the management quota are not eligible to apply. Additionally, those admitted under the 7.5 percent reservation quota are also excluded from receiving this financial assistance.

One of the key features of the TVS Cheema Scholarship Foundation's scheme is its relaxed repayment timeline. Recipients of the loan are not required to begin payments immediately upon graduation. Instead, the repayment process only starts two years after the student has completed their course and successfully secured employment.

For more information regarding the application process, interested students and parents can visit the official website of the foundation at www.tvscsf.org. The foundation has also set up a dedicated helpline at 011-43146600 for queries.

Additionally, inquiries can be directed via email to Prasant Ramakrishnan of TVS Motor at [email protected], or to Sweta Mohanty of Adfactors PR at [email protected].
