TVK to Hold Next Round of Alliance Talks After Assembly Session, Says Thirumavalavan

VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan on Tuesday stated that Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay informed him of efforts being made by the TVK to convene the next round of discussions with alliance partners regarding the formation of a new alliance.
Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat in Chennai after calling on the Chief Minister, Thirumavalavan said the upcoming meeting will take place following the conclusion of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly session, which is scheduled to end on September 8.
Thirumavalavan stated that the ruling party has already conducted the first round of talks with its allies in Mamallapuram. He explained that Chief Minister Vijay told him that active efforts are now being made to organize the second round of talks with allies and friendly parties once the ongoing session concludes.
Addressing his party's conference held in Ulundurpet on Monday, the VCK leader reiterated the party's continued alignment with the TVK. He stated that he had proclaimed at the conference that the VCK would continue its political journey alongside the TVK.
Reflecting on the political transition, Thirumavalavan noted that while the VCK was historically part of alliances formed by ruling parties over the years, the party is now a direct participant in the government and holds a role in the cabinet. He stated that this participation paved the way for the VCK to emerge as a ruling party, adding that he thanked the people of Tamil Nadu for that milestone.
Thirumavalavan also highlighted that the party passed 125 resolutions during the Ulundurpet conference. These resolutions outlined the expectations of the people of the state across all spheres, focusing specifically on matters regarding state rights.
