TVK MLA and 30 Others Booked Following Clash at Thirubuvanai Industrial Unit

Puducherry police have registered cases against Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) MLA A K Sai Saravanakumar, four of his supporters, and 30 factory staff members following a confrontation at an industrial unit in Thirubuvanai.
The Thirubuvanai police booked the MLA and his four supporters on charges of unauthorised entry, trespassing, and assaulting a factory worker. According to the complaint lodged by the human resources management of the facility, the legislator entered the industrial premises without authorization under the pretext of conducting an inspection, leading to the alleged assault.
In response to a counter complaint, authorities booked 30 individuals from the factory under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. Those named in the case include two human resources managers, two security personnel, and several others.
MLA Sai Saravanakumar submitted his complaint to the PCR Cell, alleging that the management of the industrial unit was involved in caste-based discrimination and intimidation. He also stated that women workers at the site were subjected to hardships and accused the factory administration of encroaching on local public resources, specifically a pond and land belonging to a temple in the locality.
According to the legislator, a group led by two managers, identified as Arunkumar and Sivasankar, physically obstructed him and his team from entering the industrial premises. He alleged that when questioned about the blockage, members of the group hurled casteist slurs at him and issued warnings against entering the premises.
