TTV Dhinakaran Urges TN Governor to Act on Alleged Horse-Trading by TVK

AMMK leader T T V Dhinakaran called on Tamil Nadu Governor R V Arlekar in Chennai on Tuesday and submitted a representation seeking his intervention over the alleged horse-trading of his party MLA by the ruling TVK.

Speaking after submitting the representation, Dhinakaran stated that his efforts were aimed at exposing the "Thuya Sakthi" government's alleged anti-democratic approach of luring elected representatives from various parties. He asserted that such practices disrespect the people's mandate and undermine democratic principles in Tamil Nadu.

Dhinakaran alleged that the TVK came to power over 100 days ago through horse-trading, adding that several legislators had resigned and subsequently shifted support to the ruling party. He noted that these actions run contrary to the public mandate and shake the foundation of democracy.

The AMMK leader further claimed that horse-trading is actively continuing, pointing to a recent remark by a minister in the legislative assembly claiming that 10 more MLAs were waiting to join the TVK.

Dhinakaran stated that he approached the governor to highlight the situation and reveal the truth. Following the meeting, Dhinakaran said Governor Arlekar assured him that action would be taken in accordance with legal provisions.
