TTDC Unveils Aadi Amman Pilgrimage Tour Packages Covering T Nagar Temple

The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has announced special one-day 'Aadi Amman Tourism' pilgrimage packages starting July 17, which will cover prominent local shrines including the Muppathamman temple in T Nagar, Chennai. Running every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday through the upcoming auspicious Aadi month, the initiative aims to provide devotees and tourists with organized and affordable travel circuits to various Amman temples.
According to an official release by the TTDC, the newly unveiled packages are designed to offer pilgrims hassle-free darshan at both prominent and lesser-known Amman temples. The special tours will be conducted across four districts in Tamil Nadu: Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, and Thanjavur. Devotees and interested tourists must book their packages in advance to secure their travel.
In Chennai, the TTDC has structured the pilgrimage into two distinct one-day circuits. The first circuit, which is priced at Rs 1,000 per person, covers several notable temples in and around the city. This itinerary includes visits to the Karumariamman temple at Parry’s, the Angala Parameswari temple in Royapuram, the Vadivudaiamman temple in Tiruvottiyur, and the Bhavani Amman temple in Periyapalayam. Additionally, it covers the Angala Parameswari Amman temple in Puttlur, the Thiruvudaiamman temple in Thirumullaivoyal, and both the Pachaiamman and Sengaliamman temples in Sembulivaram.
The second Chennai circuit is priced at Rs 800 per person and features a comprehensive route through key neighborhoods, including T Nagar. This package will take travellers to the Kapaleeswarar temple, the Mundakakanni Amman temple, and the Kolavizhi Amman temple in Mylapore.
It also includes stops at the Alayamman temple in Teynampet, the Muppathamman temple in T Nagar, the Pidari Ilankaali Amman temple in Saidapet, and the Ashtalakshmi temple in Besant Nagar. The tour concludes after visiting the Kamakshi Amman temple in Mangadu, the Devi Karumariamman temple in Thiruverkadu, and the Padhala Ponniamman temple in Kilpauk.
