Trisha Krishnan Breaks Silence With Cryptic Posts After Udhayanidhi Stalin Row

Actor Trisha Krishnan has returned to social media with a series of cryptic posts on Instagram, breaking her silence days after a major political and legal controversy erupted over an alleged double-meaning remark made about her by former Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.

The actor made her return to Instagram by first sharing photographs from her grandmother’s 98th birthday celebrations. She followed those images with two distinct story posts that quickly drew public attention online given the timing of their publication following days of legal action and public debate.

The first of Trisha's Instagram story messages stated, "Drama at this age is embarrassing… Go make some money and find peace." She subsequently shared a second post featuring an evil eye emoji, which read, "What a privilege it is to be overwhelmed by a life you once prayed for."

While the messages represented Trisha’s first apparent social media activity since her name became central to the legal row, the actor did not explicitly mention Udhayanidhi, the controversy itself, or any specific individual in either text. However, the timing of her posts sparked widespread speculation across social media platforms.

Adding further to the online attention, Trisha’s mother also shared a cryptic message on her own Instagram Story. Her post carried the caption "Last one, Best One" alongside a list of personal reminders, which included working out, skincare, drinking water, making money, being nice to people, and a reminder to "mind your business." Like Trisha’s posts, her mother’s message contained no direct reference to Udhayanidhi or the ongoing legal dispute.

The public row began during a protest meeting held in Thanjavur regarding the Cauvery water issue, where Udhayanidhi addressed the assembled crowd. During the event, members of the gathering reportedly began chanting Trisha’s name, after which Udhayanidhi allegedly made a double-meaning remark involving the actor.

The incident triggered a political and legal confrontation, leading the Thanjavur police to register a formal case against Udhayanidhi under several legal provisions, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Information Technology Act, and the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act.

Following the filing of the case, Udhayanidhi was arrested by police at his residence in Chennai and transported to Thanjavur for questioning. He was later released on station bail after police interrogated him for approximately 90 minutes. The situation has since escalated into a wider political dispute, with the DMK alleging political vendetta while political opponents and critics condemned the alleged remarks.
