Traffic Diversions at TTK Road–Sriram Nagar Junction Start October 8

Traffic Diversions at TTK Road–Sriram Nagar Junction Start October 8

Traffic diversions will come into force at the TTK Road–Sriram Nagar North junction starting October 8 to facilitate tunneling work by Chennai Metro Rail. The revised traffic arrangements will remain in place for a duration of three months.

Under the new plan, vehicles will be barred from directly crossing through the intersection. Motorists travelling on TTK Road from the Adyar Gate Hotel direction and Abhiramapuram 4th Street heading toward Sriram Nagar North Street will not be permitted to cross the junction.

Drivers proceeding along this route will have to use TTK Road 1st Cross Street as an alternate way to reach Sriram Nagar North Street.

Similarly, vehicular traffic moving from Sriram Nagar North Street toward TTK Road will also face restrictions at the junction. These vehicles will be diverted through North Street and TTK Road 1st Cross Street.

The temporary measures are being implemented to accommodate Chennai Metro Rail's underground tunnel construction in the area.
