TN Minister Inspects Amudham Departmental Store in Ramapuram–Manapakkam

Tamil Nadu Minister for Food and Civil Supplies P. Venkataramanan conducted a surprise inspection on Friday at an Amudham departmental store operating in the Ramapuram–Manapakkam area of Chennai to ensure smooth service and distribution for the public.

During the visit, the minister reviewed inventory levels, product quality, maintenance standards, and everyday distribution procedures. The assessment focused extensively on the overall cleanliness of the facility, the proper stacking of goods, and maintaining an uninterrupted supply of essential commodities without shortages.

Venkataramanan issued specific directives to the store personnel and staff, instructing them to guarantee that all items supplied to consumers adhere to strict quality benchmarks and accurate weight measurements. He also emphasized that sales receipts must be issued mandatorily for every purchase transaction.

Reiterating the state government's commitment to consumer welfare, officials stated that the stock levels and commodity sales across such outlets will be monitored on a continuous basis. Authorities warned that strict action will be initiated against any instances of irregularities or violations.

Departmental officials and store management personnel accompanied the minister throughout the inspection in the neighbourhood.
