TN CM Announces Rs 4 Lakh Aid to Families of Sivakasi Fireworks Blast Victims

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund to the families of two men who lost their lives in a fireworks unit explosion in Virudhunagar district.
Expressing grief over the tragedy, the Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and ordered the immediate disbursement of the relief funds to the next of kin.
The explosion took place on Thursday at a privately owned fireworks manufacturing unit located in Sivakasi taluk.
According to reports, one of the victims, identified as 41-year-old Balamurugan, was a resident working at the unit when the blast occurred. He suffered severe injuries in the incident and was rushed to the Sivakasi Government Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The second victim was identified as 66-year-old Ahmed Ibrahim, a resident of Tirunelveli Pettai. He also sustained severe injuries during the explosion and died while being transported to the Virudhunagar Government Medical College Hospital for advanced medical care.
