Three Students Injured as Car Crashes into Lok Bhavan Wall in Guindy

Three college students sustained injuries early on Sunday morning when the car they were travelling in crashed into the compound wall of Lok Bhavan on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Road in Guindy.

The vehicle was carrying five students and was allegedly travelling at high speed towards East Coast Road (ECR) when the incident occurred. Before crashing into the compound wall, the car first rammed into iron barricades placed near the main gate.

Following the collision, the injured occupants, including the 20-year-old driver, were admitted to the Saidapet Government Hospital for medical treatment.

According to the Adyar traffic investigation police, the vehicle belonged to the driver's mother, who works for a private car company. The student had reportedly taken the vehicle from home after informing his family that he was heading out with friends.

Police officials confirmed that a breathalyser test was conducted and ruled out drunk driving. A detailed probe into the exact circumstances leading up to the accident remains under way.
