Three arrested in Virugambakkam for trying to force actress to pose nude for film role

The Virugambakkam police and the Singappen Special Force (SSF) arrested three individuals, including a film producer, on Sunday for allegedly luring a 31-year-old actress to a hotel in Saligramam under the pretext of a film audition and attempting to force her to pose nude.
The arrested suspects have been identified as 65-year-old film producer Nandi Ramanathan of Perungudi, 45-year-old Karthika Devi of Virudhunagar, and 40-year-old Indirani of Taramani. Following their arrest, all three suspects were remanded in judicial custody on Monday. The police also seized three mobile phones from the accused as part of their investigation.
According to law enforcement officials, the incident began on Sunday when Ramanathan contacted the 31-year-old actress, who lives in the Saligramam area. Ramanathan allegedly told her that he was currently casting for a film and invited her to attend an audition at a local hotel in Saligramam later that same day.
Upon her arrival at the hotel, the actress met with Ramanathan, Karthika Devi, and Indirani. The trio proceeded to verify her documents and took a few photographs of her. However, the situation quickly escalated when they allegedly insisted that she pose nude, claiming it was a requirement for the role of a goddess in the film.
When the actress refused to comply, the three suspects allegedly pressured her to submit to their demands. She managed to escape from the hotel room and immediately contacted the police control room to report the incident.
Upon receiving the alert, a team from the Singappen Special Force, alongside officers from the Virugambakkam police station, rushed to the hotel. They detained the three suspects at the scene.
