Teenager Arrested for Knife Attack on Youth Over Speeding in Saligramam

A 19-year-old teenager was arrested by the police for attacking a 23-year-old youth with a knife in the Saligramam area of Chennai, following an argument over speeding in a residential neighbourhood.

The incident began on Monday when the victim, identified as Samuel, a resident of Vijayaraghavapuram in Saligramam, noticed the accused, Saranraj, 19, riding a two-wheeler at high speed in front of his house. Samuel objected to the rash driving and asked Saranraj not to speed through residential streets.

On Wednesday, Samuel was standing along a street in the same neighbourhood when Saranraj approached him. Recalling the confrontation from Monday, Saranraj attacked Samuel with a knife before fleeing the scene.

Following the attack, Samuel lodged a formal complaint with the K.K. Nagar police. Officers initiated an investigation into the incident and subsequently arrested Saranraj.
