Tamil Nadu Government Transfers J. Radhakrishnan and Shuffles Senior IAS Officers

The Tamil Nadu government has ordered a major bureaucratic reshuffle of senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, reassigning leadership roles across key state departments and organizations in Chennai.

Under the new orders, J. Radhakrishnan, who served as the Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation, has been transferred and appointed as the Director of the Anna Administrative Staff College. Dr. Radhakrishnan will also take on the role of Director General of Training, taking over from C. Samayamoorthy, who was holding additional charge.

V. Arun Roy, who was the Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education, will replace Dr. Radhakrishnan as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation in Chennai. Roy will additionally function as the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Power Generation Corporation, the Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation, and the Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation.

The reshuffle also saw Supriya Sahu, the former Additional Chief Secretary of Environment, Climate Change and Forests, posted as the Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute. Sahu has been replaced by Kakarla Usha, who previously held the post of Additional Chief Secretary of Public and Rehabilitation. E. Sundaravalli, the Special Secretary of Public and Rehabilitation, has been appointed as Secretary of the same department.

In other key changes, Pradeep Yadav, the Additional Chief Secretary of Information Technology and Digital Services, has been posted as the Additional Chief Secretary of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. He replaces Atul Anand, who will take over Yadav's former role in the Information Technology and Digital Services department. Dheeraj Kumar, who was the Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education.

Furthermore, Nirmal Raj, the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce, has been posted as the Secretary of Transport, replacing M. Vallalar, who is now the Commissioner of Labour. P. Umanath, the former Chairman and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, will take over as the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce.

Additionally, D. Rathna, the Additional Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department, has been transferred to Chennai as the Additional Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments.
