Suriya's Karuppu Box Office Collections Drop 4.4 Percent on Day 27

The fantasy action blockbuster "Karuppu," starring lead actor Suriya alongside Trisha Krishnan, is gradually approaching the final phase of its theatrical run. On Day 27 of its release, the film experienced a 4.4 percent drop in its daily domestic box office collections compared to the previous day.
According to data from Sacnilk, "Karuppu" earned Rs 43 lakhs net in India on Day 27. These earnings were accumulated from a total of 869 shows across various regions. This collection marks a small decline from Day 26, when the film brought in Rs 45 lakhs net.
Despite entering its fourth week in theaters, the film has continued to attract audiences in Tamil Nadu and other key markets. The theatrical run is now nearing its conclusion, but the film has already secured blockbuster status at the box office due to its strong performance over the past month.
With the Day 27 earnings, the total net collection for "Karuppu" in India has climbed to Rs 194.81 crore, putting it on the verge of crossing the Rs 200 crore milestone. The film's total gross collection within India now stands at Rs 225.15 crore.
The film's box office journey began with a sensational opening week, during which it collected Rs 113.85 crore. It maintained strong momentum into its second week, adding Rs 54.30 crore to its tally. By the third week, the film brought in another Rs 21.20 crore, demonstrating steady viewer interest before experiencing the current natural slowdown.
In addition to its domestic success, "Karuppu" has also performed well internationally. On Day 27, the film earned Rs 10 lakhs gross from overseas markets. This additional amount pushed its total overseas collection to Rs 80.90 crore.
When combining domestic and international earnings, "Karuppu" has reached a cumulative worldwide gross collection of Rs 306.05 crore. This global total confirms the film's highly successful theatrical run as it prepares to exit cinema halls.
