Sundeep Kishan Wraps Dubbing for Jason Sanjay Directorial Debut Sigma

Actor Sundeep Kishan has completed dubbing for his upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Sigma, which is scheduled to release in theatres on July 31. The project marks the directorial debut of 25-year-old Jason Sanjay, the son of superstar and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay.
Speaking about the film, Kishan described Sigma as an action comedy with a heist element. The actor plays a protagonist who stands up for his beliefs. Kishan noted that the film's theme of fighting for what one deserves is something younger audiences will identify with.
The collaboration began when Kishan met Joseph Vijay on the sets of the film Leo. During their interaction, Vijay mentioned that his son liked Kishan's work and might reach out for his debut film. Jason Sanjay, who studied at the Toronto Film School and the London-based Central Film School, later contacted Kishan with the script. Kishan praised the young director's fresh approach to commercial cinema, his clear vision, and his hard-working nature.
Addressing the atmosphere on set, Kishan stated that Sanjay remained cool-headed and did not let the pressure of his father's stardom or political entry affect the production. Kishan praised Sanjay's decision to choose directing over acting, noting that he is proud of the young filmmaker for setting a new precedent.
While Sigma is primarily a Tamil film, the cast and crew include several Telugu-speaking members, including female lead Faria Abdullah. The movie marks Kishan's return to Tamil cinema following his roles in Captain Miller and Raayan.
The film's release follows a busy month for Kishan, who also headlines Netflix's first Telugu web series, Super Subbu, which began streaming on July 2. Directed by Mallik Ram, the comedy series addresses sensitive topics such as sex education and menstrual hygiene.
