Stalin Criticises Decision to Drop Parandur Greenfield Airport Project

DMK President and former Chief Minister M K Stalin on Monday criticised Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay's decision to drop the Parandur greenfield airport project, calling the move a massive disappointment and an irreversible setback for the state's growth.

In a statement issued in Chennai, Stalin said that the project proposal, which was conceived during the DMK regime, was vital for the state's future. He stated that Tamil Nadu's interests cannot be mortgaged for petty political considerations.

Stalin warned that the announcement to drop the Parandur International Airport project would set Tamil Nadu's development back by several years.

He further stated that the decision to abandon the project serves as a devastating blow to the employment dreams of the state's youth.
