Singappen Police Force Resolves 272 Complaints On Spot Across State and Tambaram

The Singappen Special Force (SSF) of the Tamil Nadu police responded to 272 complaints on the spot and facilitated the registration of 20 criminal cases during the week spanning August 14 to August 20, acting on incidents reported across several regions including Tambaram.

During the week-long operation, the specialized unit also focused on locating missing persons. SSF teams successfully traced two missing women and three missing children, ensuring that all five individuals were safely restored.

In addition to addressing direct complaints, the force undertook critical child welfare and social interventions. The personnel acted to prevent three child marriages and supported educational continuity by facilitating the re-enrolment of 53 school dropout children. The force also rescued and rehabilitated five persons with intellectual disabilities.

Preventive outreach and community engagement remained a core priority for the force throughout the period. The SSF organized 3,519 awareness programmes designed for school students, college students, the general public, and migrant workers.

Alongside awareness efforts, the teams focused on field-level vigilance. Surveillance and preventive patrolling operations were executed across 12,577 identified vulnerable spots across the state to deter unlawful activities and maintain safety.

SSF teams mobilized quickly to address reported incidents in numerous jurisdictions across Tamil Nadu. Areas covered during this operational period included Tambaram, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Dindigul, Theni, Virudhunagar, Sivagangai, Thoothukudi, Kallakurichi, Perambalur, Mayiladuthurai, and Ranipet.
