Ramco Systems Appoints Sandesh Bilagi as Chief Executive Officer

Chennai-based enterprise software firm Ramco Systems has officially appointed its president and chief operating officer, Sandesh Bilagi, to serve as its new chief executive officer. The major leadership announcement marks a significant transition for the Chennai-headquartered company as it seeks to strengthen its position in the highly competitive global enterprise technology market. The Chennai enterprise software company announced the decision as part of its ongoing efforts to drive global growth and advance its technological capabilities.

In his newly designated role as chief executive officer, Bilagi will be responsible for driving the overall global growth agenda of Ramco Systems. According to an official statement released by the company regarding the appointment, he will also lead and accelerate the firm's strategic transition to become an AI-native enterprise software company.

The executive promotion comes after Bilagi successfully managed the company's business operations as its president and chief operating officer. During his tenure in that operational role, Bilagi led a critical operational turnaround that successfully returned the Chennai-headquartered company to sustained profitability. Under his direct operational leadership, Ramco Systems delivered six consecutive quarters of operational profit through the financial year 2026.

Bilagi brings more than two decades of professional experience in the enterprise technology sector to his new position as chief executive officer. Throughout his career in the industry, he has been credited with building and scaling multiple businesses. Among his notable achievements within the company is founding and establishing Ramco Systems' business operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to his career at Ramco Systems, Bilagi held several key leadership positions at other major technology firms, including HCL Technologies and Tech Mahindra. The company noted that Bilagi has a strong professional foundation in finance and accounting, which has contributed to his proven track record of driving strategic corporate growth. His past experience also includes successfully establishing offshore development centres to support technology operations.
