Pullinam Aerospace Signs Up to ₹200-Cr Deal to Supply 100 Light Aircraft

Thanjavur-based startup Pullinam Aerospace Technologies has signed a binding Letter of Intent with Coimbatore-based Skyworks Aviation International to supply 100 light aircraft in a deal valued between Rs 175 crore and Rs 200 crore.
The agreement covers Pullinam’s PAT-LSA01, an indigenous two-seater Conventional Take-Off and Landing aircraft. The aircraft model is currently under development in both electric and internal-combustion engine variants.
The binding agreement was signed on Thursday at the National Aerospace and Aviation Startup Conclave. The conclave was organised jointly by the Institute of Aeronautics, Astronautics and Aviation and StartupTN at the Nehru Institute of Technology campus in Coimbatore.
The deal was finalised after eight months of technical discussions and commercial negotiations between the two organisations. Skyworks Aviation International initially initiated talks in January after the aircraft model was showcased at the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit in October 2025.
Prof CS Karunakaran, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pullinam Aerospace, stated that the binding agreement validates the company's design and market readiness well ahead of its planned flight-test phase over the next two years.
In addition to the agreement with Skyworks Aviation International, Pullinam Aerospace has also secured a Letter of Intent from the Indian Army Aviation wing’s Combat Army Aviation Training School located in Nashik. The indigenous aircraft has identified potential use cases in pilot training, surveillance operations, and leisure flying.
