Prem Anand Sinha Assumes Charge As New Tambaram Police Commissioner

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Prem Anand Sinha assumed charge as the new Commissioner of Police for Tambaram on Saturday. The appointment comes as part of a major reshuffle of officials within the Tamil Nadu police department.

The administrative transition, which was finalized on Friday, also brought a change in leadership to the neighboring Avadi commissionerate. ADGP T. Senthilkumar took charge as the Avadi Police Commissioner on Saturday.

In Tambaram, ADGP Prem Anand Sinha succeeds ADGP Sanjaykumar. The outgoing commissioner, Sanjaykumar, had been posted to the Tambaram commissionerate by the Election Commission of India ahead of the recent assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

The newly appointed Avadi commissioner, ADGP T. Senthilkumar, was previously serving with the state administration wing of the police department before being designated to lead the Avadi region.

This reshuffle marks a significant change in the leadership and administration of the police forces for both the Tambaram and Avadi regions. Both newly appointed commissioners have officially taken over their respective commissionerates to oversee local law enforcement and administration.
