Police arrest history-sheeter Ennore Dhanasekar and five associates at Guindy hotel

A special team of the Avadi city police arrested the notorious history-sheeter Dhanasekaran, widely known as Ennore Dhanasekar, along with five of his associates during an early morning raid at the Le Royal Meridien hotel in Guindy on Thursday morning.
The police operation resulted in the seizure of an unlicensed pistol, four live rounds of ammunition, five machetes, and a luxury car. Officers also recovered cash totalling Rs 2.65 lakh from the possession of the suspects at the scene.
The five associates apprehended alongside Dhanasekaran have been identified by the police as Mano (also known as Manavalan), Ilanthamizhan, Sarathkumar, Kathiresan, and Bhuvaneshwaran.
According to law enforcement officials, Dhanasekaran is classified as an 'A+' category history-sheeter based out of Ennore. He has an extensive criminal record, with a total of 80 criminal cases registered against him. His past charges include nine counts of murder, 11 counts of attempt-to-murder, and five counts of robbery. He also faces multiple cases related to kidnapping, extortion, and dacoity.
In addition to his active criminal record, Dhanasekaran was wanted by the authorities in connection with an older case for which the IV Additional Sessions Court in Ponneri had issued an outstanding non-bailable warrant against him.
The raid at the Guindy hotel was executed by the Avadi city police special team following a specific tip-off regarding the location of the suspects.
Following the successful apprehension of the six men at the hotel, the Ennore police registered a fresh case against them. All six individuals, including Dhanasekaran and his five associates, have been formally remanded in judicial custody.
