Nainar Nagenthran Blames Tamil Nadu Govt for Low Voltage Disruptions

Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagenthran on Monday accused the state government led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay of failing to manage power requirements effectively, stating that persistent low voltage problems have caused widespread disruption across the state, from Chennai to Coimbatore.
In a post shared on X, Nagenthran highlighted that power fluctuations have resulted in severe damage to essential household appliances, including refrigerators and televisions. He pointed out that although the summer season has concluded, the government has been unable to resolve the power situation, leading to recurring difficulties and placing an unnecessary financial burden on consumers.
The BJP leader claimed that the low voltage crisis has led to equipment losses running into several crores of rupees. In addition to residential consumers, small and micro enterprises across Tamil Nadu have suffered disruptions and financial strain due to the unreliable power supply.
Calling the administration's lethargy and handling of the power crisis highly condemnable, Nagenthran alleged that the TVK government has shown clear incompetence. He stated that even after crossing 100 days in office, the ruling administration has failed to set governance on the right track or address vital public infrastructure needs.
Nagenthran further called upon Electricity Minister Nirmal Kumar to take immediate, practical steps to solve the issue. He urged the minister to halt making empty promises and focus on delivering concrete solutions to fix the low voltage problem across Tamil Nadu.
