Muthialpet Police Arrest Two Men, Seize 800 Grams of Methamphetamine in Mannady

The Muthialpet police in Chennai have arrested two men and seized 800 grams of methamphetamine following a targeted operation in the Mannady area. The law enforcement action, which took place on Wednesday morning, also resulted in the seizure of two mobile phones and a two-wheeler from the possession of the accused individuals.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed to the area and arrested 42-year-old J Abdul Jabbar. The arrest was made near the junction of Mannady Street and Thambu Chetty Street. During the search, police officers found Jabbar in possession of 100 grams of methamphetamine.

Following his apprehension, Jabbar provided information to the police during his interrogation. Based on the details provided by Jabbar, the police team moved to arrest 63-year-old N Abdul Naser, who is a resident of Mannady.

Upon arresting Naser, the police officers discovered and seized an additional 700 grams of methamphetamine from him. This brought the total volume of methamphetamine seized during the entire police operation to 800 grams.

According to investigators, Naser had procured the methamphetamine in bulk quantities along with other associates. He then supplied the drugs to Jabbar, who was tasked with the distribution and sale of the contraband.

Following the successful arrests of Jabbar and Naser, the Muthialpet police have launched a search and hunt to locate and apprehend the remaining absconding suspects who are linked to this illicit drug trafficking network.
