M K Stalin Urges TVK Government to Continue Archaeological Excavations

On Tuesday, former Chief Minister M K Stalin urged the TVK government in Chennai to continue the archaeological excavations commenced under the previous DMK government. Stalin made the appeal while sharing a social media post by former minister Thangam Thennarasu regarding archaeological findings at Malayadipatti in Tenkasi district, stating that these excavations are essential to establish the historical truths of Tamil civilization through scientific findings.

Stalin emphasized that continuing these scientific excavations will throw light on the history of Tamils. He noted that such efforts are particularly important in an era where attempts are being made to distort Tamil history and culture, and when conspiracies are hatched to divert history through flawed arguments. According to Stalin, the antiquity of Tamils is being brought out with clear evidence through these ongoing excavations.

The former chief minister called for more extensive archaeological explorations to be conducted on both land and under the sea to uncover further evidence of Tamil heritage. He also advocated for a shift in historical perspective, stating that the history of the Indian subcontinent should be written beginning from the south.

Stalin urged the new administration to continue the excavations started by the Dravidian Model government to bring Tamil history to global attention. He stated that the state must protect the traces of Tamil antiquity and establish historical truth despite any obstacles.
