K Annamalai Urges Support For TVK At First We The Leaders Conference In Pollachi

On Sunday, former Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai advocated for "healthy politics" and a collaborative political tone at the first state conference of his newly launched 'We the Leaders' (WTL) forum. Speaking at Achipatti on the Pollachi-Coimbatore Road in Pollachi, Annamalai struck a conciliatory tone towards the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, stating that inexperienced legislators should be supported rather than criticized.
The state conference was held on a 25-acre ground in Achipatti under the central theme of a "Drug free Tamil Nadu." During his address, Annamalai emphasized that the event was not organized to attack any political party or leader. He stated that the WTL movement was not started with arrogance or with the sole intention of capturing power, but rather to build a better society.
"This is not a political conference to criticise another party or another leader. We have not started this movement with arrogance or merely to capture power. We have come to build a better society," Annamalai told the gathering.
Annamalai called for patience regarding the new administration, arguing that they should be given sufficient time to settle down. He revealed that some people had asked him to launch attacks against the TVK, but he chose to refrain from doing so.
Addressing the status of TVK, Annamalai pointed out that most of their MLAs are first-time legislators who lack 10 or 20 years of administrative experience. "They may stumble, but when they stumble, we should help them stand up," he said, suggesting they should be guided rather than written off.
While advocating for this supportive approach towards TVK, Annamalai also outlined the long-term vision of his forum. He declared that the 'We the Leaders' forum aims to bring a significant political change to Tamil Nadu by the year 2031.
