India's Tyre Exports Rise 16% to ₹7,700 Crore in First Quarter

India's tyre exports grew 16 percent year-on-year to reach ₹7,700 crore in the first quarter of FY27, according to data released by the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association citing Commerce Ministry figures.
The export growth came despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, global supply chain disruptions, and elevated input and logistics costs. The performance follows a record export value of ₹27,312 crore recorded in FY26.
Passenger Car Radial tyre shipments served as a key growth area, with export value rising 21 percent during the quarter. Indian-made tyres are currently exported to more than 170 countries across the globe.
Europe emerged as a primary growth driver during the period, with shipments to the region climbing 25 percent to ₹3,003 crore. The European market accounted for nearly 40 percent of India's total tyre exports in Q1 FY27. Meanwhile, the United States remained the single largest export destination, contributing 16 percent of total outbound shipments.
ATMA Chairman Arun Mammen noted that the first-quarter expansion represents a strong start to the financial year and reflects the increasing global acceptance of Indian-manufactured tyres.
The association stated that securing improved market access through trade agreements and supportive export policies could further reinforce India's position as an international tyre manufacturing and export hub.
