Hyundai Plans 26 Vehicle Launches and Capacity Expansion in India by 2030

South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Company plans to launch or update 26 vehicle models in India by 2030 as part of its broader global growth strategy. The announcement was made by the company's management during its 2026 CEO Investor Day held in Seoul on Wednesday.

The upcoming rollout in India will comprise all-new products, full model changes, product enhancements, and new powertrain variants. As part of its 2030 product pipeline for the Indian market, Hyundai aims to introduce an all-new Creta, an updated i10, and an A-segment electric SUV. The automaker's luxury brand, Genesis, may also enter the Indian market in the near future.

According to the timeline shared by the company, a new electric SUV is scheduled to launch in India during the December 2026 quarter. This rollout will be followed by the introduction of a new internal combustion engine (ICE) powered mid-size SUV.

India remains one of Hyundai's primary global markets and production hubs. To support this growth, the automaker plans to add 3.2 lakh units of manufacturing capacity in India by 2030. India currently maintains a production capacity of 1.1 million vehicles per year.

The expansion in India forms a significant part of Hyundai's worldwide strategy to increase global manufacturing capacity by 1.27 million units. Across international markets, the company is preparing to roll out more than 100 new models and updates featuring diverse powertrain options by 2030.

"We are bringing more than 100 new models to market by 2030 with multiple powertrain options," said José Muñoz, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company.

The company's wider launch schedule includes 58 vehicle launches in North America, 49 in South Korea, 41 in Europe, 26 in India, and 22 in China. Many of these upcoming vehicles will represent brand-new nameplates or entries into entirely new market segments.
