Hyundai and Jio-BP Partner to Integrate EV Charging Networks Across India

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) and Jio-bp have entered into a partnership to integrate their electric vehicle (EV) charging networks, providing users access to more than 37,000 charging points across India through the myHyundai app.

The collaboration links over 7,000 Jio-bp pulse charging points spread across more than 300 cities with HMIL's existing network of over 30,000 charging points. The setup is designed to be accessible to all EV users, regardless of vehicle brand, who can locate and utilize the available points via the myHyundai platform.

Jio-bp's network features DC fast chargers with power capacities ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW, maintaining an operational uptime of approximately 96%. According to a company statement, a significant portion of these charging stations are strategically positioned along major national highways to facilitate long-distance electric travel across the country.

As part of the reciprocal integration, HMIL's proprietary DC fast-charging infrastructure—which currently includes 183 operational stations—will be phased into the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app. Looking ahead, HMIL has outlined plans to expand its proprietary network of DC fast-charging stations to 600 locations by the year 2030.

Hyun Sup Lee, Executive Director and Function Head of Corporate Planning at HMIL, stated that the integration of the two charging networks aims to simplify the charging experience and provide Hyundai EV owners with access to a broader and reliable network of charging solutions through the dedicated mobile app.
