GWC Data.AI Signs MoU in Chennai to Add 1,000 AI Jobs Across Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu-based data and artificial intelligence solutions provider GWC Data.AI has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government to recruit more than 1,000 AI and data professionals over the next 12 months. The agreement was exchanged in Chennai during the Vetri Tamilnadu Investment Conclave 2026 in the presence of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.
The proposed hiring drive focuses on expanding technology employment opportunities across tier-2 and tier-3 cities in the state. Recruitment will take place across GWC Data.AI's regional offices located in Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, and Tirupattur.
The new openings will span multiple specialized technical roles, including AI engineering, data engineering, agentic AI development, and enterprise delivery.
As part of the agreement, GWC Data.AI, an official Anthropic Claude Preferred Partner, will collaborate with the skilling wing of Guidance Tamil Nadu. The partnership will conduct campus programmes and structured training in agentic AI to build a Claude-certified talent pipeline across the state.
Naveen Kumar, founder and chief executive officer of GWC Data.AI, said the collaboration aims to develop world-class AI talent in smaller cities and equip local youth with advanced technology skills. He noted that the initiative is designed to demonstrate Tamil Nadu's potential as a global benchmark for AI innovation while making the tech sector more inclusive.
