Dr Mukesh Batra Releases Book On Healing Modern Toxicity In Chennai

Pioneering homeopath Dr Mukesh Batra has released his new book, 'Toxic: Stories, Science and Remedies for a Cleaner Mind, Body, and Spirit', in Chennai to address the mental, physical, and environmental toxins of the modern world. Co-authored with medical doctor and spiritual teacher Swami Shailendra Saraswati, the book was published by Bloomsbury India following Dr Batra's 50 years of clinical practice.

The book, priced at Rs 358, blends science, real-life stories, practical guidance, and holistic healing. It aims to help readers identify and address invisible modern toxins—such as toxic thoughts, draining relationships, and corrosive environments—that conventional medicine cannot fully cure.

According to Dr Batra, who is the founder and chairman emeritus of Dr Batra’s Healthcare, the book was born from the realization that the most dangerous toxins of the current age cannot always be identified in a laboratory report. He noted that patients frequently presented physical symptoms like skin conditions, migraines, chronic fatigue, and hair loss, which stemmed from deeper, unresolved emotional and environmental issues.

The authors argue that while the modern world engineered convenience, speed, and connection, it also manufactured anxiety, comparison, and noise. Dr Batra warned that factors like chronic stress, constant comparison on screens, suppressed emotions, poor sleep, processed food, and sedentary lifestyles cumulatively act as a slow poison, leading to a gradual dimming of vitality.

Rather than offering quick fixes or advocating for an immediate retreat from busy lives, the book suggests making deliberate corrections. Dr Batra advised readers to audit what they consume daily, including conversations, digital content, and company, and to remove at least one small source of toxicity.

Dr Batra explained that discipline is key to making a full life sustainable, drawing from his own experience of traveling the world, running an organization, and pursuing four passions over five decades. He emphasized that healing often begins with subtracting what is harmful rather than adding complex wellness routines.

The publication is currently available for purchase on Amazon.
