DMK President M K Stalin Rallies Cadre From Chennai Before Departing Abroad

On Saturday, DMK President M K Stalin issued a message to his party cadre from Chennai, expressing strong confidence in the party's resurrection and return to power before embarking on a two-week journey abroad. Stalin sought to boost the morale of party workers following recent electoral setbacks, emphasizing the resilience of the DMK.

Addressing the party from the DMK headquarters at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai, Stalin noted that trials and tribulations were not new to the organisation. He stated that the party had historically managed both triumphs and setbacks without letting victories go to its head. He shared that the unanimous assurance from party leaders, office-bearers, functionaries, loyalists, and supporters—"we are here, the party is coming back"—has helped the party stand majestically for 75 years in the political arena.

Stalin explained that he felt a deep leadership responsibility to not be bogged down by the recent electoral setback. This responsibility led him to visit the party headquarters at Anna Arivalayam every day. It was there that his supporters waited to greet him, urging him to continue the political journey at a faster pace and by pursuing another path. He stated that no other movement has shown the same resilience as the DMK, which has consistently overcome both failures and victories because its cadre are bound by principles and fraternal love.

To chart the future course of the party for the next 100 years, Stalin announced that he has formed 19 groups consisting of 38 people. These groups have been directed to visit every constituency to understand the minds of the public.

Additionally, Stalin has established a "restructuring advisory committee" comprising both youth and experienced members. This committee is tasked with recommending ways to revamp and reorganize party districts, affiliated wings, and committees from the branch level to the top. The committee was formed based on opinions gathered during Stalin's meetings with the party cadre and comments left on the website.

Stalin expressed confidence that when the revamped organization arises, it will stand tall like a mountain and shine like the sun, writing a new history for Tamil Nadu in the next century. He concluded his message by noting that although he is embarking on a two-week journey abroad, his heart remains at Anna Arivalayam.
